The Origin Story
Image Foundry was born out of frustration. We were building a product that needed reliable, fast image delivery — resizing on the fly, converting to modern formats, cropping smartly. The existing solutions worked, but they came with three problems: vendor lock-in, opaque pricing, and zero control.
We asked ourselves a simple question: What if image CDN infrastructure was open source? What if you could run it on your own servers, or use a managed service — your call, no strings attached?
That question became Image Foundry. An MIT-licensed, production-ready image transformation service that drops in as a replacement for Imgix or ImageBoss — in minutes, not months.

Open Source Commitment
We will never rug-pull the open source community. Image Foundry's core will always remain MIT-licensed. Our SaaS offering is built on the same code — we eat our own cooking. Contributions, bug reports, and feature ideas are always welcome on GitHub.
